Hello!
I am writing as publicity officer for Imponderabilia- an international
student social anthropology journal based at Cambridge University. The aim
of the journal is to provide a platform for undergraduates from any
university to publish their own work. We hope this will help to recognise
the legitimacy of undergrads in the field of social anthropology.
We define anthropology widely. In the past authors have submitted fiction
or articles based on a variety of disciplinary fields: architecture,
medicine, evolutionary biology, music, among others. This year, we are also
flexible with the format of material we will use, and, in addition to the
core body of academic papers, will seek to integrate illustrations,
insightful musings, lateral thinking about current or historical events,
interdisciplinary articles, personal ethnographic accounts, poetry,
photographs, and videos (online only) in a well designed publication.
We have recently issued the ‘call for papers’ for the 2012 issue, the
deadline for which will be 1st December, when we will begin the peer review
and editing process.
Please have a look at our website (currently being updated/replaced), which
contains online copies of past issues
