Thanks Sara for the links and reviving this pre-historistic post. Yes, and many of the reasons for the delay might be the same everywhere in the world, but differ along other lines as you say. Here in Norway, it's more usual to get married very late (30+) in the capital, while in the rural areas most people are married by the age of 25

Interesting post Lorenz.Here is a BBC article about a blog which was turned into a book that discuses the marriage in Egypt...It is worth mentioning that in each Arab county, women have their own reasons beyond the "delay in marriage" comparing to before. In some countries like Egypt reasons differs from a certain social status and financial status to anther.
